Propidium Iodide (PI) is a red-fluorescent cell viability dye which is excluded from live cells with intact membranes, but penetrates dead or damaged cells and binds to DNA and RNA by intercalating between the bases. It is widely used as a counterstain to differentiate and exclude non-viable cells in flow cytometric analyses, and can be excited using blue (488 nm), green (532 nm), or yellow-green (561 nm) laser lines, with detection in the FL2 or FL3 channels. PI is used in DNA fluorescence imaging applications to discriminate early and late stages of apoptosis, to study cell‐mediated cytotoxicity, and for chromosome analysis. It is also commonly used in quantitative DNA assays.

AdipoGen Phenol red sodium salt
Chemical. CAS 34487-61-1. Formula C19H13O5S . Na. MW 376.36. Synthetic Water soluble pH indicator used in the 6.8 yellow to 8.2 red range and frequently used in cell biology laboratories. Widely used as cell tissue culture pH marker. A small amount of phenol red added to the growth medium will have a pink-red color under normal conditions. Typically, 15 mg/l are used for cell culture. In the event of problems, waste products produced by dying cells or overgrowth of contaminants will cause a change in pH, leading to a change in indicator color. For example, a culture of relatively slowly dividing mammalian cells can be quickly overgrown by bacterial contamination. This usually results in an acidification of the medium, turning it yellow. The waste products produced by the mammalian cells themselves will slowly decrease the pH, gradually turning the solution orange and then yellow.
AdipoGen Calcein-AM (1 mg)
Calcein-AM (1 mg), AdipoGen Life Sciences. Chemical. CAS: 148504-34-1. Formula: C46H46N2O23. MW: 994.86. Synthetic. Calcein-AM is a non-fluorescent cell permeable and hydrophobic probe that, upon entering live cells, is cleaved by intracellular esterases, releasing the membrane-impermeable, hydrophilic, and intensely bright green fluorescent calcein. Better retained by viable cells than fluorescein, carboxyfluorescein, or BCECF, due to its low cytotoxicity. It can be used as an indicator of cell viability (dead cells lack cytoplasmic esterases), cell-cell communication, cytotoxicity or changes in intracellular calcium, fluoride, iron or mercury. Used as a cytosolic fluorophore in mitochondrial permeability studies to image pore transition. Viability assays using calcein are reliable and correlate well with the standard 51Cr-release assay. AdipoGen New Indocyanine Green
Chemical. CAS 172616-80-7. Formula C46H50ClN2NaO6S2. MW 849.47. IR-820 is a near infrared dye NIR, which has a broad absorption band at 690nm in aqueous solution, with high resistance to photodegradation and photocleavage. IR-820 is an excellent probe for imaging tumors, as it can be detected in skin cells, chitosan quaternary ammonium, and subcutaneous tumors using fluorescence imaging. IR-820 is an infrared blood pool contrast agent to detect and quantify diseased tissue in live animals. IR-820 has maximal excitation and emission wavelengths of 710 and 820nm, respectively. IR-820 emission is significantly improved in vivo on serum binding to albumin, and elimination occurs predominantly via the gastrointestinal tract. IR820 has optical and thermal generation properties similar to those of indocyanine green ICG but with improved in vitro and in vivo stability.
